Jazz
An energetic class that explores all avenues of this ever evolving genre. This class focuses on correct dance technique whilst executing an array of movements including kicks, leaps and turns.
Jazz Funk
A fusion of basic jazz technique and the street style of Hip Hop this popular class gives students the opportunity to learn and combine both styles simultaneously. This taste of both styles enables them to branch off and focus on one or both styles in the future.
Tap
With a focus on rhythm, musicality as well as correct technique, Tap is for everyone. UDA offers Tap classes to Tiny Tots all the way through to Pre Professional level. UDA also offers examination preparation (Tapatack Oz syllabus) to eligible students.
Contemporary
This diverse and technically focused class incorporates strength, balance and floorwork as well as encourages students to explore an emotional connection with the piece they are working on. Due to this the class is only offered to students of the intermediate age group and above.
Hip Hop
Taken straight from the street with a style and flow like no other genre, Hip Hop can be found everywhere from popular TV shows to music video clips. UDA offers classes for beginners right through to our Masterclass.
B Boy/B Girl
Learn to build strength and breakdance like a pro as well as mastering the presence and character of a BBoy/BGirl. Classes for both beginners to learn the foundations as well as those who know the basics and want to take their skills to the next level.
Tiny Tech
A class of poise, grace, strength and discipline. Tiny tech is an introduction to the technical genres of Ballet and Contemporary. This class gives our tiny tot and junior students the chance to recieve a strong technical foundation without being limited to the confines of syllabus ballet.
Technique
A class of flexability, strength and discipline. This class builds our Intermediate through to Pre professional students core technical foundation without being limited to the confines of syllabus ballet. This class is mandatory for all performance troupe students.
Twinkle Stars
A class for those little stars aged 2 & 3 who want to shine! This class introduces children to the foundations of dance through a variety of music and movement as well as the use of props including hats and fairy wings.

Performance Troupe
Universal Dance Academy provides committed students the chance to pursue further perormance opportunities through eisteddfods, public event performances and professional entertainment work. This opportunity is by invitation only as additional commitment is required. Performance troupe students are required to attend a Jazz, Contemporary, Technique and Performance Troupe class on a weekly basis.
Burlesque
A sassy and mischievous beginner friendly class that will encourage you to unlock your inner Diva. Ladies learn basic moves and poses that familiarise them with the artform and put them all together in a routine that may incorporate traditional props including hats or fans.
Zumba
When people see a Zumba class in action, they can't wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before they know it, they're getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! Come and join the Party!
